The concept of repurposing keys on keyboards is not new.
However, using a personalised icon (for example the tritokreuz) to overlay for “special purposes” offers possibilities.
Likely to be for specific purposes – perhaps encryption to maintain a degree of integrity in ones communications – which is becoming more important with the advent of artificial intelligence, the prevalence of Counter Disinformation Units and overall surveillance of our digital lives.
In a simplistic way the different designs and code repurposing could be deployed much like the code books and ciphers of the Enigma machines of the second world war.
Distribution could be only as physical media with delivery via cells of human beings – so mankind does not lose its evolutionary defence mechanisms. It will hopefully be some time before robots will be able shed “real” blood with a unique DNA.
Mixing these with an element of artificial intelligence would sanitise the human elements that gave Bletchley Park a helping hand in “cracking the codes”.
Such a move could be also used in a digital armoury should it be required to combat the negative use of super intelligent things.
